American and Taiwanese are very different from the aspect of time managing. Before Amercian are going to visit their families or friends, they will make appointment. As the time is insured, unless there is an emergency, it will not be changed easily. Some of my Taiwanese friends will often knock on my door at the midnight without inform me in advance, Sometimes, we are appoint to go shopping together, they will cancel it because they're in a bad mood. We can see that we need to learn how to respect other people's time.
